Whisky Themed Tours

If you are holidaying in and around the Moray Firth you will be staying near two of the great Scottish Whisky regions. Highland encompasses a vast area reaching from the north of mainland Scotland to the south. The region below the Moray Firth, east of Inverness is Speyside, home to a huge density of distilleries.

It's this concentration of distilleries which makes it an ideal place to take a Speyside Whisky Tour. Whether you are new to whisky or an experience connoisseur, there is something for everyone. Watch the whisky barrels being made at the Speyside Cooperage, then choose a distillery tour from some of the big names, Glenlivet, Macallan or Glenfiddich. Compare and contrast with some smaller distilleries such as Glen Moray or Benromach.

Costs per day are approximately £280 but depend on your itinerary etc.

Dolphin Spotting Tours

The Moray Firth is one of the best places to see bottlenose dolphins. Between May and August we offer a limited number of tours which includes land based dolphin spotting.

We visit Chanonry Point when the dolphins are most likely to be there but it can’t be guaranteed. Because this is tide dependent, this varies each day.

Each tour day is tailor made for you but can also include visits  to the Black Isle Brewery, Glen Ord Distillery, Culloden Moor and Clava Cairns.

The Dolphin themed tour is for a maximum of three adults. The total cost depends not including admissions and food etc is approximately £375 depending on timings and departure points etc.

Highland Spirit Tours

Highland Spirit Tours offers bespoke, tailor made tours including Speyside Whisky Tours with departures from Inverness, Moray and Speyside. We create tours around your requirements including a mix of distillery tours and tastings. Some of our other tours include a whisky aspect, e.g. a visit to a distillery, combined with visits to tourist attractions such as Culloden Moor and the Moray Firth Dolphins.
