A review from one of our regular purchasers ……………..
For anyone visiting the area and hoping to see the dolphins, having a copy of the Tide Times Guide is essential. We have been coming to Rosemarkie/Fortrose to celebrate our wedding anniversary every August for five years and actually use the guide to plan the best dates for dolphin watching.
Although the dolphins are not guaranteed to appear, knowing the time of the low tide greatly increases the chance of seeing them at Chanonry Point. We aim to be there approximately an hour after low tide (on a rising tide) which is when they usually come to feed.
There has only been one occasion when we didn't see any dolphins. Every other day we have been treated to some truly spectacular sightings.Mothers and babies, family groups and the big males leaping and somersaulting right in front of us.
So for anyone thinking about going, buy the Tide Times guide, plan your visit and prepare to be amazed watching these beautiful creatures, wild and free. V.M. Northern Ireland
