Watch Dolphins at Hopeman
There are regular dolphin sightings at Hopeman in Moray. They are usually spotted travelling along the coast. There are also good vantage points. Travel down Harbour Street and turn right at the harbour. This will take you to East Beach car park. Looking directly over the beach, dolphins can occasionally be seen travelling along the coast. Hopeman dolphin sightings can be fairly close to shore.
There are actually a series of three car parks, the last one, just past the toilets, is situated behind the colourful Hopeman beach huts. From there it’s a short walk to the beach.
There are dinosaur prints nearby and an old “healing” well, which still has running water. Off to the East are coastal paths, with a lovely walk along the cliffs to Lossiemouth.
Just outside the Footprints Gallery there’s often a notice board with the latest Moray Firth Dolphin sightings in the area.
