Excellent beaches with lovely sand are easy to find and if they are busy, a walk along the beach will usually find  a peaceful area. There old harbours to explore and photograph, castles, village museums highlighting the local heritage. You'll find seafood restaurants and pubs serving local beer and single malt whiskies. The whisky distilleries are a popular place to visit, some date back over one hundred years and some significantly longer.
